actually for #2, it goues more like this.
1 insert tape
2 see blank screen
3 realize nobody rewinded it
4 press rewind
5 wait 5 minutes
6 press play
7 fast forward through infinite previews (no automatic skip)
8 enjoy low-def movie with no scene select or extras
AND if not able to understand the language the movie came in:
8 – fast forward through the entire movie to get to the other version of the movie in your own language…
9 – finally watch the movie
Actually we need to go back a little farther with the credit card to when they used the old fashioned “knuckle buster” slider – no electricity or internet connection needed. First you had to find the appropriate credit slip depending if the customer was using Master Charge, Visa or American Express. Then you had to fill out what items were purchased, the cost, tax and finally the total. Put the credit card in the slider, the slip on top, slide the bar right, then back left and finally have the customer sign the slip. Then you had to give the card back to the customer along with the proper copy of the three that you just ran, usually the bottom copy if I remember correctly.
So “time to process a normal credit card = 5 seconds” No, I don’t think so!
